The data science team owns the data-driven optimization and AI components of the new software suite, and you will play a key role in modelling and delivering these applications into production. You will join as a data scientist specializing in optimization and software development and work closely with data engineers, ML engineers, and platform engineers who support you in building, operationalizing, and scaling optimization models across our product ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain data-driven applications for Element Logic’s optimization and analytics software.

• Model and solve complex decision-making and planning problems.

• Identify new problems well-suited for data science and optimization in collaboration with product teams and customers.

• Contribute across the full solution lifecycle in collaboration with Data and ML Engineers to ensure continuous improvement.

• Contribute to the team's professional growth by sharing knowledge, evaluating technology choices, and staying up-to-date with new methods and technologies.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree with topics in optimization.

• 2+ years of relevant working experience.

• Experience with mathematical modeling and algorithm development for problem solving

• Strong programming skills in one of object-oriented programming languages (you will be primarily working in C# and Python)

• Familiarity with the full software development lifecycle and how ML/Optimization algorithms are deployed to production (CI/CD, monitoring, MLOps)

• Experience with processing data in the cloud (Databricks/Snowflake or alike)

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
