Cloud Engineer
Join Element Logic as a Cloud Engineer and help power the cloud infrastructure behind intelligent warehouse automation!
As a Cloud Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring our customers’ cloud environments are secure, reliable, and high-performing. You will take ownership of provisioning, operating, and maintaining AWS-based environments, as well as remotely managing customer-owned servers as part of our managed services.
You will also design, implement, and continuously improve our infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, working with technologies such as Terraform and Ansible and following Git-based version control practices. With a strong focus on automation, stability, and operational excellence, you will help build scalable cloud solutions that support our customers’ business-critical operations.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Administering and maintaining Windows-based systems and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments, as well as performing general Linux administration.
Managing, operating, and troubleshooting database systems, with a particular focus on MS SQL.
Operating and troubleshooting network connectivity for customers, including:
VPN connectivity between AWS environments and customer cloud environments using AWS VPN.
Operating and maintaining OPNsense firewalls to ensure secure connectivity to customers' on-premises environments.
Conducting technical discussions with customers' IT departments regarding network design, connectivity, security requirements, and troubleshooting.
Continuously monitoring systems and services using tools such as Zabbix and Grafana, including the proactive detection of incidents, as well as managing incidents, problems, and changes in accordance with defined IT service management processes using Jira Service Management.
Participating in the on-call rotation to support business-critical systems and ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Desired skills and experience:
We are looking for experienced cloud professionals with a background in IT, computer science, engineering, or a comparable qualification. You have hands-on professional experience operating and managing AWS-based cloud environments and enjoy building and maintaining high-performing, stable systems.
Ideally, you will also bring:
· Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible, as well as routine experience using Git-based version control platforms such as GitHub.
· Strong Windows administration skills and solid Linux administration experience. You are comfortable discussing technical networking and security topics with customers' IT departments and can communicate confidently in both German and English.
· Solid knowledge of networking concepts, VPN technologies, firewalls, and secure connectivity. Experience operating OPNsense is a significant advantage.
· Knowledge of information security principles and best practices. Experience working in an ISO 27001-compliant environment is an advantage.

Physical demands:
This role primarily involves sedentary work, including prolonged computer use and participation in virtual meetings.
