Job Description
An internship at Element Logic is a chance to work on real challenges, test new ideas, and help shape future warehouse solutions. You’ll join a team working with robotics, automation, and software, and get hands-on experience that goes far beyond a typical student project. You will work on one of the following projects, and it is important that you specify in your application which project you are most interested in:
Project 1: Simulating and Challenging Warehouse Workflows
How do different warehouse workflows really perform, and how should they be designed in the future?
In this project, you will help build a system that allows us to simulate, compare, and stress-test different warehouse workflows. You’ll look at scenarios such as staging versus traditional order picking, different order profiles, and how changes in picking and packing speeds affect performance. You’ll work with models that combine automation and human pickers and help create a flexible tool that we can reuse to test new workflows in the future.
The goal is to turn insights into action: you’ll help deliver a clear recommendation on how we should design and position our workflows going forward.
Project 2: Putting Humanoid Robots to the Test in Warehouses (Pending)
Humanoid robots are rapidly becoming more capable, but can they actually work in a warehouse?
We are currently in the process of sourcing a humanoid robot platform. If this project proceeds, you will take part in hands-on testing and experimentation to explore what a humanoid robot can and cannot do in a warehouse environment. You’ll try out real warehouse tasks, see how the robot performs, and learn where humanoids make sense, and where they don’t. This is a practical, experiment-driven project, focused on learning fast, testing assumptions, and answering a big question: should humanoid robots be part of our future solutions?
The outcome will be a clear, experience-based recommendation that will help guide our future technology choices.
Project allocation:
We are looking to hiring 6 interns in total. With 2 interns assigned to Project 1 and 4 interns to Project 2. If Project 2 does not proceed, all 6 interns will work on Project 1.
What will you do
· Join us for 2 months (mid-June to mid-August) on a full-time basis
· Work closely with other interns and experienced mentors
· Experiment, analyze, and turn findings into clear conclusions
· Present what you’ve built, learned, and discovered at the end of the internship
The main work location will be our office in Kløfta, Ullensaker, with the possibility of some days working from Forskningsparken, Oslo.
Qualifications
· Students in Cybernetics and Robotics, Computer Science, Data Science, or similar fields (3rd–4th year)
· Comfortable with programming and curious about automation, robotics, and systems
Application Deadline 1 February 2026
Recruitment Process
Applications close on 1 February 2026 and will be reviewed after the deadline. Please submit your CV, cover letter, and grade transcripts (PDF only).
If your profile matches what we are looking for, you will be invited to a short first interview. Candidates who move forward will then be invited to a second interview with more technical and role-related questions, so you know what to prepare for. We aim to keep the process fast and smooth, and you should not expect a long waiting time between the first and second interview.
