Senior Platform Engineer
Be the Force Behind Seamless Deployment and Scalable Tools
We’re looking for a skilled and passionate Senior Platform Engineer / DevOps Engineer who’s driven by the desire to make complex things simple – and who understands the value of great tools, automation, and seamless developer experiences. With us, you’ll take on a central role in shaping how software is delivered and run, and in creating a smooth, secure, and efficient everyday life for our product teams.
In this role, you’ll be a key player in accelerating development speed and reducing friction for our teams. You’ll work to improve our tools and processes, ensuring that developing, testing, integrating, and delivering software – whether to the cloud or on-premises environments – becomes a more intuitive, fast, and predictable experience.
Through the development of internal platforms, automation of delivery pipelines, and standardization of practices, you’ll enable our product teams to focus on what they do best – creating value for users – while you make sure everything around them just works.
Responsibilities
- Further develop and maintain our internal developer platform.
- Simplify software delivery in both cloud and on-premises environments.
- Design and implement robust CI/CD pipelines.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks in software delivery.
- Standardize tools and practices to reduce cognitive load.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to solve integration and delivery challenges.
- Optimize infrastructure and tool costs without compromising performance.
- Measure and improve developer experience and delivery flow.
- Implement security routines and compliance within pipelines and tools.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Solid experience with cloud architecture and infrastructure.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Competence in automating software delivery – both for on-premises and cloud.
- Familiarity with Octopus Deploy or similar tools.
- Experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions, or comparable version control and CI/CD tools.
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken, in English.
- Minimum conversational level in a Scandinavian language.
We also appreciate if you have:
- Experience in developing self-service tools for developers.
- Expertise in optimizing the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Interest in team leadership or previous leadership experience.
- Industry knowledge within intralogistics.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience.
Personal qualities
You are customer-oriented and focused on understanding users' needs. With an analytical and quality-conscious approach, you see the big picture while also being curious, eager to learn, and always striving for improvement. You take initiative, collaborate well, and are a clear team player. You make decisions based on data and insights and thrive with freedom under responsibility. You are honest, independent, and live the company’s values in practice.
The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with developers, QA, tech leads, and Enterprise Architects – you’ll be an important bridge-builder, strengthening both the quality and efficiency of our deliveries.
