Would you like to create innovative solutions within automation and intralogistics?
As a Data Scientist at Element Logic, you will be part of a growing team working on our data platform, which will be the foundation for our data-driven solutions. You will work at the intersection of data science, intralogistics, and automated robotics, using your skills to develop predictive models, optimize operations, and solve complex problems.
You will be based in our TechHub in Oslo Science Park, a new initiative to strengthen our focus on data-driven services. In this role, you will have a high level of influence on the development of our department and the implementation of our data-driven solutions.

Who are we looking for?
You are curious and willing to learn from experimenting, your teammates, and industry state of the art. You are passionate about all kinds of technology, but particularly data science. Furthermore, you have the ability to take initiative, be self-driven, and collaborate well with others. You have good communication skills, and you know when you should involve your teammates. In addition, you consider yourself to be loyal, honest, and independent.
Responsibilities:
- Identify new and solve existing problems using data driven methods
- Model and solve complex optimization problems using advanced methods such as integer programming, predictive methods, and ML
- Involvement in the entire DevOps process from infrastructure, development, testing and deployment
- Contribute to improvement of architecture, code base, and technology platform of our data-driven software solutions
- Provide technical support to internal and external customers on our data-driven software solutions
- Take initiative to solve problems both independently and together with your team
Desired skills and experience:
- Master’s degree in Cybernetics, Industrial Economics, Computer Science, MSc in Business Administration and Data Science, or another relevant field
- Strong data science knowledge and most importantly being eager to learn
- Preferably at least 2-3 years’ experience
- Experience with logistics, warehousing, and AS/RS intralogistics in particular
- Good programming skills – C#, Python, Java, or others
- Familiarity with DevOps, continuous delivery, and cloud solutions
- You see the big picture and have a good understanding of business
- Professional language skills in English are a must, both oral and written
- Professional language skills in one Scandinavian language are preferable
